Author Interview:
What do you do when you are not writing?
When I am not writing, I’m busy being a mother and wife. I am also probably lost inside the pages of a book. I enjoy hiking, fishing, and outdoor activities with my family.
Do you have a day job as well?
I do. During the day I work at a middle school. I love being around kids.
When did you first start writing and when did you finish your first book?
The love of writing struck me at a young age, but I didn’t actually write a novel until I was in my late twenties. I wish I had started earlier though. My first book was published in 2010.
How did you choose the genre you write in?
I write YA mostly because that is what I read. But I’m not a genre specific author. I have dabbled in all genres, including paranormal, contemporary, and horror.
Where do you get your ideas?
They come to me at different times. Sometimes when I’m in the shower, and other times when I’m out and about. There are a lot of ideas that I haven’t even written yet. Hopefully, someday I will get to them. It’s hard to find time to write all the books I want when I work a day job.
Have you written a book you love that you have not been able to get published?
I can’t say that I have. I have started books and not had time to finish them, though.

About Christy:

I am Southern California native, now living in New Jersey! How did that happen? I am married and have two beautiful little girls who love to read just like Mommy. I have had a passion for books since I was a little girl and an imagination for just as long. I hope my books can inspire others to read and to write too.
