Why I enjoy reading the Raven Cycle....

The reason for this post:

My publisher surprised me today by mailing me a box of Blue Lily, Lily Blue ARCs — I had no idea such things were going to exist, nor that I was going to get them, but now I intend to give them away.
Here’s how:
Just post on your blog (blogspot, Tumblr, wordpress, whatever), Twitter, or Facebook status one reason why you enjoyed reading the Raven Cycle, and then post the link to the status update (if you don’t know how to do this, Google is your friend) into the Rafflecopter contest thingy. You can find that, and the rest of the fine print, on this blog post:http://maggiestiefvater.com/blog/blue-lily-lily-blue-contest/

My Answer:

So the one reason why I enjoy reading the Raven Cycle is because of the writing. My favorite books from my favorite writers have the ability to bring the words to life in my mind like a movie playing before my eyes. From the first word in the first book, The Raven Boys, a world was created with characters that I can imagine so vividly, to a world so well constructed it is like a 3D rendering of a setting that the characters walk through in my mind. The picture below is what it is like for me to read the Raven Cycle series(just replace the guy with an introvert brunette lady with glasses):
