Book Review:
I love Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series and those books got me to read more adult fantasy adventure novels! I was intrigued when Terry decided to try a new genre 'Thriller'. I was captivated by the first character on the first page and kept reading this book for that good piece of writing alone. Overall the book is good and the thriller aspect was not quite nail-biting but still kept me interested in what would happen. Where the book lacks a little is the repetitiveness of the point that Kate was in danger, this took away from the thriller aspect and made the story drag. Nearing the third and final part of the book the story picks up and ends well. Terry's most redeeming quality is his the characters he creates that anyone reading will get attached to. If he plans on making this a series I would read the next one for the characters alone. Maybe he will work on his suspense building without being repetitious while strengthening his plot to truly captivate his audience. I would recommend this book for the characters and tell you to buy the whole Sword of Truth series because they are the best in that genre!
