One choice can destroy you. Veronica Roth's second #1 New York Times bestseller continues the dystopian thrill ride that began in Divergent. A hit with both teen and adult readers, Insurgent is the action-packed, emotional adventure that inspired the major motion picture starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, and Octavia Spencer.
As war surges in the factions of dystopian Chicago all around her, Tris attempts to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

My Review of the book:
I started this book on the Friday the movie came out. I had read the first one before the movie came out and then saw the movie I enjoyed both the first book and movie. I was a bit concerned while reading the book becasue in the beginning of the book I wasn't sure where the plot was going. However the characters and world building kept me reading and then the author weaved in the new plot point that kept my interest peeked! With the intrigue of the faction and gated city purpose now tugging at the main characters Tris mind the book took on more depth and gave it a stronger plot. I could not put the book down and then I got to the last page and was biting my nails and I was left with a huge cliff hanger! I mean I need the last book from the library now OMGK (Oh My Good Knee!) I enjoyed this book and the characters are my favorite part go Tris and Four Forever!
My Review of the Movie:
On the Saturday that the movie came out I finished the book, so I decided to see the movie Sunday Morning. I liked the movie it was good and packed with action. However they deviated from the plot of the book, which in the beginning was fine because it still stuck with the basic premise and definitely had the essence of the book except the end.
SPOILERS AHEAD TURN BACK IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK!
In the end of the book the box recovered did not need to be opened by having a divergent go through tests. Also at the end of the book every one is being held up by the faction-less who have all the guns and then chaos erupts after the video is broadcast to all. This is completely different in the movie. The erudite leader had to capture divergences to torture them to open the box and the leader of the factionless had her own agenda which you really do not get in the movie. Also the end of the movie was peaceful instead of chaos like the book. Yeah I did not like the end variations of the movie and definitely prefer the book! Honestly the books are always better I do not know what i was expecting....I hope the third movie stays more true to the third book even though I haven't read it yet.
